The Final Chapter

June 27th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | No Comments

Over the past year or two, I’ve been noticing how just about everyone seems to be writing a book or wanting to write a book—more so than ever it seems…Even people who are not “writers” have stories that want to burst forth from their beings. And there seems to be an urgency about this now, a sense of “time running out” to write these stories. What’s this all about?

Here is one perspective:  In the beginning, we were all one—one divine energy, one entity, source energy. At some point, we decided to split up and differentiate into individual beings with bodies, personalities, egos, etc. We collectively bought into the illusion of separation to play this game with each other and at the same time help each wake up to our true nature—oneness. We carried this illusion with us from lifetime to lifetime, taking on different roles in this grand play of life.

Now, we are at the time in our collective consciousness when we are each individually feeling the need to contribute our unique piece of the puzzle, so we can once again realize we are all one divine being. How do we do this? By each of us telling our own stories (though it is really all one story anyway).

Finally, as all complete the sharing of their own individual stories, so we can finally all write the collective story of humanity together. Many of us have felt that this time is approaching. It is time for all of us to finish writing the last chapter of this phase of our existence together. Together, we are co-writing this book of life, co-creating the next phase of our evolution together as a collective. WE are the ones who decide how we want this story to end. WE decide what kind of world we want to create. WE decide where we go from here and how that journey will unfold. We can decide all this because we are powerful co-creators and, just as we created the world we are now in, so too will we now create the next.

But first—we must get our stories out. Some will do so through the writing of books, creation of websites, and making of videos. Others will sing, dance, act, hold workshops. And still others will raise families, channel, offer new perspectives on living, and more. There will be many avenues of expression. But express we must! It’s what each of us came here to do. Shine our individual lights so we can remember the divine light of which we are all a part. Realize the drop each of us is so we can melt into the eternal ocean of oneness.

What’s your part? What’s your “piece of the puzzle” to contribute? (for each of us has a piece) How can you help us all to co-write this final chapter together? For we are birthing a new world before our eyes, we are collectively ready to co-create a new paradigm, we are stepping into a completely different reality from what many of us have known on this Earthwalk. Exciting times…Are you ready?

Dropping the Masks

June 27th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | No Comments

In the past 5 weeks I’ve been living here in Mt. Shasta, I’ve experienced many profound changes. I am not the same person I was when I first arrived. In fact, most days I hardly recognize myself….

I’ve realized much of my transformation has come from “dropping my masks,” releasing those aspects of my self with which I have so long identified, letting go of who I thought I was—so I can experience my true self, who I really am.

While here, I participated in much of a 40-day 5 a.m. kundalini yoga/chanting sadhana practice which involved a special infinity loop chant whose purpose was to facilitate “dropping the masks.” During those early mornings, I had many mystical experiences of losing my body consciousness, merging into oneness with All That Is, feeling myself dissolve into The One.

And also in my experiences here, with the people of Mt. Shasta, my dear soul family, I have experienced much letting go of my ego/mind/three-dimensional personality…trusting and opening my heart to others…allowing myself to be soft, vulnerable, fully present with myself and others…surrendering to the divine flow of my life, of Life itself…knowing I am always divinely taken care of and provided for, if I can but get out of my own way and allow Life to express through me….

All of this has required dropping my masks, similar to the Buddhist practice of bodhichitta, allowing our hearts to crack open so they can let the whole world in—all beings, all life, with no exceptions…feeling the oneness with all. This is the path the compassion—with ourselves, with our loved ones, with those we don’t know and might never meet, indeed with all of creation.

For when we fully let go of all of our defenses, all the external trappings of the self, we allow our true identity to reveal itself—we allow our Godself to shine through in all do and all we are in this world of our creation. This is what we’re here on Planet Earth for…to remember who we really are & to help facilitate this remembrance in others…To help all of us awaken to our divine nature, to wake up from the deep sleep we’ve been in, the illusion, the maya, this Game of Life….Rise and shine! :-)

Doin’ The Bun Dance

June 27th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | No Comments

This morning I posted on FaceBook a “Joke of the Day:”
Q: How do you make a bun dance?
A: By having FUN!!!

The reason this “joke” makes so much sense is because a-bun-dance is ALL about the vibration you are in, the JOY and FUN you have in your life…So when considering abundance, ask the following questions: 1) What are you creating in your life? 2) How much FUN are you having? And then, see if you notice a parallel between the two!

When you’re having fun and truly enjoying your life and everything in it, you’re bound to create what you want, to instantly manifest your true heart’s desires. This is because the Universe responds to vibration, feeling, emotion—and when you’re “in the flow” and appreciating what you have, the Universe will naturally bring you more to enjoy.

On the other hand, if you’re feeling “not enough” or “not worthy” of even the good you already have in your life, if you’re feeling fear, lack, limitation, or scarcity of any kind, if you’re in a low vibratory state, if you’re feeling “stuck,” the Universe will hold off on bringing you any more than you can handle until you reach that state of clarity, gratitude, love—for this is the vibratory state that can hold more, that can hold infinity….

This is simply law. The law of attraction. Like attracts like. Fun, freedom, and fullness will attract more of the same. Fear, doubt, worry, and lack will also attract more of the same. In the garden of your life, you will absolutely reap what you sow…So if you look at your life and see things you don’t like in any area—relationships, health and vitality, work and life purpose—they are simply a result of seeds you have sown. And the best news if, you can always plant new seeds, starting right now (which is all we ever really have anyway)! In the process of tending to your garden, please remember: You don’t need to judge, only observe.

To create true abundance in our lives, we can all stand to have a heck of a lot more FUN! This life we’re living is just one big game we all decided to play, but somewhere along the way, we started taking it too seriously! :-(   When we can get back into that state of fun, then the true games can begin—and we can then dance our way all the way into 5th dimension and beyond, access our essential divine nature, and experience the pure lightness of our beings.

What’s Your Order?

June 26th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | No Comments

Life is like eating at a restaurant. The people who come into our lives are divine waiters—servants of God/Spirit/the Universe. And each of us is royalty ready to dine at the feast of our dreams.

When we show up in this Restaurant of Life, we walk regally, holding our heads high, knowing we are children of the Divine and entitled to all the abundance in the Universe. We already know we are worthy of the inheritance that is our birthright. We know there is more than enough for everybody and we all can have whatever we want.

So we graciously arrive at our special table, the one with our name on it, and gracefully claim our rightful spot. With a peaceful heart full of gratitude, we get clear on what we really want. We get in touch with deepest desires and forumulate them into words. We lovingly articulate our desires to our divine waiter, knowing with full confidence, faith, and trust we will receive exactly what we ordered—to a “T”…

Once we’ve ordered, we completely let go of our control over the process, we surrender to the divine flow of things, and know deep in our being our “feast” is already on its way to us. The process has been set in motion and all we need to do now is wait for it to come to us. As we do, we can relax, enjoy ourselves, play with our dinner mates, and just generally have fun in the whole process. We don’t need to get anxious, fret, or worry about whether our order will arrive or whether it will be what we really wanted—we just know and trust that it will and all is in perfect divine order.

When our order arrives, we give thanks and receive our bounty with a heart overflowing with joy and gratitude. We know we are worthy of this feast, that all beings are worthy of love, joy, peace, and abundance. We thoroughly enjoy the blessing of the meal and our lives—all we’ve been given and all still on its way to us. We honor the source of all creation from which All That Is comes forth for all to enjoy. We share our bounty with others, because we know as we give, so we receive, what we send out, comes back to us, as we sow, so we reap….

Such is the joy of feasting in the Restaurant of Life. Everything about our lives can be this way. If you’re not already living life this way, try it—you might be surprised how easy and effortless things can be, and how much grace and joy can be found in every moment. What are you ordering today?

Happy dining! ∞

Pot of Gold: My New Mt. Shasta Home

June 20th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | 1 Comment

So I’ve been seeing a lot of rainbows here in Mt. Shasta—more than anywhere or anytime else…Today after my friend Christine who’s here visiting saw one, I did too—and it looked like the proverbial “pot of gold” was in my new home!

As the mountain would have it, I’m now “living” in Mt. Shasta—and today found a wonderful new place to live. It is close to town and fits pretty much everything I intended when I got clear on what I wanted in the place I would live next. I am sharing a house with an artist, teacher, & healer who writes storybooks for Crystal and Indigo children on fairies, dolphins, rainbows, and more and who also makes beautiful angel and spirit guide drawings and leads classes on creativity and art therapy. Her house is full of light and we both felt we were a good energetic match for roommates!

Everything about the transaction just flowed with ease and grace. I am even offsetting some of the cost of the rent with some mutually beneficial work exchange. The best part was when it came to the money for the rent, I had the exact dollar amount in cash in my wallet! Talk about getting the message loud and clear: “I always have exactly what I need when I need it.”

Not only that, but I really felt the circular nature of the energy exchange—the money I was paying her was a blessing—to me, to her, to everyone to whom that money would then pass on to. I gave thanks to Infinite Spirit for always providing me with exactly what I need at any given time, blessed the money, and asked that it multiply many times over and provide all beings with the abundance that is their divine birthright. Finally, I didn’t have an ounce of scarcity consciousness about it being the last of my cash as I knew there is plenty more where that came from, abundance is constantly streaming into my life, doors are perpetually opening, and all I ever need is already given.

Afterwards, my new intuitive-healer-artist roommate said she saw Lakshmi (Hindu goddess of wealth and abundance) in my energy field. YES! I am feeling the abundance that is everywhere and always. Whatever we ever really need or want is provided. We are always taken care of by the unlimited abundant Universe. So all we ever need to do to access that “pot of gold” at the end of the rainbow is get clear on what we really want, ask with faith and conviction, and be open and willing to receive all the abundance that is our divine inheritance. Claim it—it is yours!

What’s Your Medicine? (Part 2)

June 14th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | No Comments

Something that’s come up for me recently being around so many powerful channels and healers is the old inferiority/superiority complex. This seems to be a common theme/issue that comes up for healing for many here. How often do we think: this person is so much more advanced, trained, spiritual, etc, than we are and feel ourselves come up short in comparison? Or vice versa?

But the truth is, there is no comparison, because we are all unique and individual in the gifts, talents, and abilities we bring to the world—the special “medicine” only we carry. No one else carries the medicine we carry. No one else can complete the puzzle of life with the piece each one of us is uniquely here to contribute.

Each of us has a very particular dharma (or specific role, calling, or mission) to play out here—and we scripted these dharmas before we came into this life with full awareness of who we were before and what “work” in this lifetime would be the best continuation of work done/lessons learned/areas of healing in previous ones. Our goal here is simply to allow our unique dharma to unfold, to allow our individual flower to open up and blossom.

How do we do this? We focus on our strengths and really develop and nurture them, just as we would a garden; we lavish loving attention on the garden of our life—planting seeds, watering, spreading sunshine, pulling weeds, and sprinkling love, love, and more love on what we’re growing in our lives. And when our flowers start to open up and blossom, we let ourselves shine in our full glory, we spread the love and joy that is ours to share, we radiate our beauty out into the world. We don’t feel shame for who we are; we give deep thanks for the gifts we’ve been given and share them freely with the world. We allow others to experience who we are and help in whatever ways we can.

This is tending to our garden of life. And when each of us does this, we create a new Garden of Eden, a earthly paradise in which we are all beautiful blossoming souls sharing our unique gifts and medicine with each other in an atmosphere of love, joy, peace, harmony, and oneness with All That Is.

Happy gardening! ∞
(p.s. it’s funny, I wrote this post before I got a gardening gig for this week, talk about being tapped in! ;-P)

Creating Heaven on Earth

June 14th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | No Comments

I began this post from a house sitting gig I had for a few days last week in magical Mt. Shasta, CA. In the backyard was a gorgeous view of “Magic Mountain” in front of which I did practice every morning and stargazed at night. Here we also we played with friends—jumped through hoola hoop “portals” into the 5th dimension, danced, did cartwheels, had breakfast, and generally enjoyed a Garden of Eden like paradise.

The mountain itself often looks like heaven and earth merging into one, especially when the mountain seems to just disappear into the clouds, so that it is difficult to tell where the mountain ends and the clouds begin….This is why it really feels like Mt. Shasta is a place “where Heaven meets Earth.”

Mt. Shasta is a vortex: As such, it shows us what is possible in our world. We can create this kind of earth for ourselves, this kind of new reality, one in which we have clean water to drink, fresh air to breathe, plenty of food and shelter for all living beings, a world in which all types of life interact freely, lovingly, and compassionately with one another, in which all are honored and cherished as sparks of the Divine. We can create a world in which all people are awake and aware, fully sharing their unique gifts, and living in a state of love, joy, gratitude, and abundance.

The truth is: We don’t have to create it—this world already exists. We live in an abundant Universe which is ever providing all of our needs, even before we can ask for them. We live in a field of infinite possibilities, with unlimited choices and options. All we really need to do is to allow ourselves to experience it, to open up to infinity and be willing to receive it into our hearts. Our hearts are big enough to hold the entire cosmos, to contain within it All That Is…for we are that: As above, so below; as within, so without.

When we really experience this oneness with all of life, we know ourselves to be the powerful creators we are, the living masters walking on the earth. Then we know we are limitless, and the only obstacles we have to living the life we want we place upon ourselves—sometimes intentionally, sometimes unintentionally. But we come to know this as an illusion, that our true nature is infinite, abundant, love, joy, service, spirit, God. This is what we are all here to remember, what we are remembering now—and in the process creating Heaven right here on Earth.

Moon Time Sweat Reflections: Messages of FLOW

June 14th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | No Comments

Last week, I got my “flow,” got on my “moon cycle”—the same night we were having a small gathering at my most recent gorgeous house sitting gig. We were planning to do a sweat in the sauna house on the property. I knew in traditional Native American sweats, women weren’t allowed to sweat. Yet my new friend Alexander reminded me that traditionally the moon time was when women would gather together and bring back “wisdom for the tribe.” Because of the downward flow, women were more grounded and closer to the earth and therefore more able to access higher wisdom. So my friends suggested I go in by myself for a special “moon time sweat.” So that’s what I did, and here’s the wisdom I brought back:

Being “in the flow” is akin to being back in our mother’s womb, swimming in her fluid. And because being in or even near water reminds us of being in our own mother’s womb, we feel more “fluid” at these times—softer, gentler, more relaxed and loving. Speaking even more broadly, all the waters of the world (rivers, streams, oceans, etc.) are all parts of the Divine Mother’s womb fluid. And if we can allow ourselves to fully relax into Her, the Divine Mother will carry us through anything in life….

Going even further back than my own mother, I experienced traveling back in time to my mother’s mother and her mother and so on, through my own past lives as various women, all the way back to the original primordial “soup of creation”—the soup from which the cosmos were formed, from which we all ultimately came. In this soup, the Great Goddess simply breathed what she wanted/imagined/thought up into existence (for “flow” is not necessarily always water or even fluid; it can also be breath). She simply thought of worlds and poof! There they were….

We do this too through the process of intention, for we are powerful co-creators with Spirit. When it comes to manifestation, we need only get very clear on what we want, then put our attention on it, and “breathe” it into existence/form/creation. We are creating in this way all the time, whether we are conscious of it or not. And especially now, at this time on the planet, we are all creating a new reality in which to live.

Ever noticed how similar “flow” sounds to “blow?” I feel this is because with the “breath of life,” we “breathe” our reality into existence. I can picture the Great Goddess cupping her hands and blowing, Her breath swirling and creating the cosmos in which we now find ourselves. What is creativity, after all, but the process of creation itself, of breathing something into life/being/existence? So from the Great Goddess, the Mother of Us All, to each one of our individual drops in Her ocean, we are all simply doing just this:  breathing (the cosmos, a new earth, fill-in-the-blank) into existence through the breath of life! So breathe on, powerful co-creators…What kind of world do we want to breathe into existence for ourselves and future generations?

The Space of Creating

June 10th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | No Comments

The “space” one is in is so important, so key to being able to create and fully manifest what we really want. In Sanskrit, there are two terms, sukha and dukha to describe this—sukha translates as “good space” and dukha “bad space.”

First let’s explore dukha: When we’re “in our heads,” in the space of ego/mind/personality, we are usually anxious, stressed, worried, trying to “figure it out,” solve the problem, fix it, make it happen, and basically force things, we can’t and usually don’t create what we really want—nothing good generally comes out of this space.

Now, sukha: On the other hand, when we drop down to the heart, return to the breath, get back in our bodies, and become fully present with ourselves & others, when we relax into the arms of the Divine and let It carry us, enfold and embrace us, and fully support us in life, then things get really interesting…That’s when the juicy stuff happens, when things just seem (often literally) to fall into our laps. This is because we are not trying so hard anymore, we’re fully surrendered, we’ve fully “let go” of our conscious mind and are allowing the God mind to work through us (the best kind of mind there is!)….

Here’s a great example from my own life: Last Friday, I went to a beautiful Mother Earth healing concert and while it was profound in many ways, I was also stressing about needing to find the next place I would be staying, as my week at the last place, a wonderful communal house, was near up. As a result, I found I wasn’t fully present with myself or others. So on Saturday, I decided to completely let go of it, and stopped thinking about it altogether. I went to a gathering at the sacred headwaters here and was fully present, just enjoying myself and talking to new friends. From this space of “sukha,” I got offered this magical place to stay for a few days while some new friends would be out of town. It happened so easily and effortless, no “struggle” involved at all. I was in the flow, in the moment, and open and receptive to divine grace.

The story got even more interesting when I realized another new friend, James Anthony, had housesat at the same house for a month when he first came to town, so he knew how to run the sauna, etc. (there is a sauna house here as well as a fairy yurt, where I slept one night!). Then we thought of Tonya, another new friend who also needed a place to stay. She and I had a luxurious, transformative, healing time together here, and hosted a wonderful small gathering of friends on Tuesday which involved a sauna/sweat (will post separately about this as it was quite a powerful experience), an abundant potluck, and a spontaneous shamanic group healing involving singing, drumming, energy work, and loads of love (not to mention lots of fun, goofy pictures with lots of dancing orbs)….

These are the kinds of experiences that we pave the way for when we get out of our own way and let the Divine flow guide us to where we need to be. Today again, as this housesitting gig is ending, I am trusting and surrendering, knowing I am always guided and protected, abundantly provided for, and exactly where I need to be.

What’s Your Medicine?

June 10th, 2010 by Tara Shakti in Uncategorized | 2 Comments

Recently I was at an event at the Flying Lotus here in Mt. Shasta & an astrologer named Skywalker shared some of his beautiful wisdom about planetary happenings coming up this summer. Later he asked me, “So what’s your medicine?” I so loved this way of asking what it is I do in the world, how I contribute to life, what gifts I bring with me and share with others. How much better is it than the old standby, “What do you do?” Yech!

You see, we all come into this world with our own unique blend of gifts, talents, and abilities we bring with us from previous lifetimes. Before we incarnated, we were fully aware of all we were before and decided on a particular path to follow in this lifetime. We chose a “mission,” a purpose for our soul to play out here on Earth. But, when we crossed over into this world, we passed through a veil of amnesia and so many of us forget our chosen purpose. So are here to remember—who we are, how we’re here to be, and what we’re here to do on this beautiful planet of ours.

In asking someone, “What’s your medicine?” we are inquiring about their individual soul’s unique way of contributing to the upliftment of all of life. So often, the “poison” becomes the “medicine”—that is, those areas of deepest healing in our own lives are the exact areas in which we can best help others. When we speak and teach and heal from our hearts, from our own direct experience of transforming pain through healing, this is the best medicine we can offer…both to ourselves and to those with whom we would share it.

This morning, through a cathartic release, I finally understood what my medicine is in this lifetime. I am here to be a messenger of the Light. I am a vehicle for the Divine to flow through me and communicate messages of love that heal, inspire, and uplift people to open their hearts to themselves and to all of Creation. This is my true mission and purpose here on this Earth. I am to do this through words, particularly through the written word.

I have known this on some level all my life, since I was a small child, but now I understand this at the cellular level, from the higher perspective, and deep within my soul. I am to write and help others to communicate into words that which is deep within their souls. This is my medicine, the healing balm I offer the world. And because I have struggled personally in this area, both in this lifetime and in past ones, I understand the issues facing so many who are blocked in their creative expression and am deeply committed to helping all of us free up the fountain of creativity within us, the fountain of Life, Light, and Love.

Today, I invite you to consider what your medicine is—and to ask someone else today the same question.
